New smartphone app for Genesis members

We are delighted to inform all our members that a new version of our smartphone app has been registered with the iTunes and Google Play stores.

Stay in touch and up to date

Our smartphone app has been enhanced to meet most of our members’ medical scheme needs and to help them stay in touch and up to date, 24/7.

Enhanced functionality

Furthermore to the current functionality of the Genesis smartphone app, the new app now offers the following additional functionality:

  • Members can send us a direct message from the Contact Us page.
  • Registered dependants, as well as their dependant codes, are now listed on the Membership Details page.
  • The Medical Aid Benefits page has been updated to list the core benefits available on a policy.
  • Members can now send us their claims directly from their smartphone app, by either taking a good quality photo(s) of the claim(s), or by attaching the relevant document(s).
  • Members can view their three most recent member statements.
  • The latest medical tax certificate is available.

For members who have automatic updates turned on, the update will be downloaded automatically (usually overnight). When members next open their Genesis smartphone app, they will see the changes.

For members that don’t have the automatic updates function enabled, the Genesis smartphone app can be automatically updated by following these steps:

Android:

  • Open the “Play Store” app.
  • Open the side menu (“hamburger icon”).
  • Click “My apps & games”.
  • Click the “Update all” button, or click the “Update” button next to the Genesis app.

iOS:

  • Open the “App Store” App.
  • Click “Updates” on the bottom menu.
  • Click the “Update all” button, or click the “Update” button next to the Genesis app.
